Industrial Minerals Portfolio

Bridging the gap between resource wealth and industrial application.

Africa’s geology holds the building blocks of tomorrow’s infrastructure. We manage the sourcing, quality assurance, and complex supply chains for a diverse portfolio of industrial minerals, ensuring our partners receive high-purity materials.

Metallic Minerals

Strategic Metals for a Growing Economy

Copper

Copper is a soft, malleable, and ductile metal characterized by very high thermal and electrical conductivity. It sports a distinctive reddish-orange metallic luster and forms a protective green patina when exposed to environmental elements over time.

Lead

Lead is a heavy, soft, and highly malleable post-transition metal with a low melting point. It features a bluish-white color when freshly cut, which tarnishes to a dull gray upon exposure to air.

Manganese

Manganese is a dense, silvery-gray brittle metal that is highly reactive and rarely found as a free element in nature. It typically occurs in combination with iron in ores like pyrolusite. It is irreplaceable in industrial metallurgy due to its unique chemical properties

Iron

Iron is a ductile, silvery, and highly magnetic transition metal. By mass, it is the most common element on Earth, forming much of Earth's outer and inner core, and is typically extracted from abundant oxide ores like hematite and magnetite.

Cobalt

Cobalt is a ferromagnet, hard, lustrous, and silver-gray metal. It is structurally stable at high temperatures and is typically recovered commercially as a byproduct of copper and nickel mining operations.

Coltan

Coltan is a dull black, metallic ore from which the transition elements niobium and tantalum are industrially extracted. It is chemically stable and exceptionally dense.

Non-Metallic Minerals

Industrial Minerals for Modern Manufacturing

Mica

Mica refers to a group of silicate minerals characterized by a layered, sheet-like crystalline structure. It is easily split into thin, chemically inert, and physically flexible transparent sheets.

Fluorspar

Fluorspar is the industrial name for the mineral fluorite, which is composed of calcium fluoride. It typically forms colorful cubic crystals and features a relatively low melting point.

Silica

Silica, or silicon dioxide, is most commonly found in nature as quartz. It is a hard, chemically unreactive mineral with a high melting point, heavily sourced as high-purity silica sand.

Graphite

Graphite is a naturally occurring crystalline form of carbon. Unlike most non-metals, it features a unique layered structure that allows it to conduct electricity and heat efficiently while remaining extremely slippery.

Talc

Talc is a hydrous magnesium silicate mineral. It holds the distinction of being the softest known mineral on Earth, characterized by a greasy, soapy feel and an opaque pearly luster.

Gypsum

Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate. It is highly soluble in water over geological timescales and is often found in massive sedimentary beds.

Dolomite

Dolomite is an anhydrous carbonate mineral composed of calcium magnesium carbonate. It shares structural similarities with limestone but contains a high proportion of magnesium.
